Types of paddles we know

Basically, we know classic paddles, usually made of leather, silicone, or plastic, and so-called Slappers - a toy that combines the features of a paddle and a flogger. It is a paddle (or a whip, depending on one's interpretation) usually consisting of three parallel, usually leather and wider layers, which merge into a handle. Because of the multiple layers, this toy strikes three times with just one swing.

Many beginner paddles have a core made of hard cardboard or plastic, covered with a layer of synthetic leather. Various patterns and rivets, which leave a beautiful imprint on the skin, are not uncommon on these. Due to their rigidity, they can provide thud sensations (a feeling that goes deeper into the tissue and is a result of hitting with rigid objects, as opposed to the sting sensation caused by thinner and more flexible toys - e.g., whips - on the skin surface). Real leather paddles usually cause more intense sensations, whether it's thud (if they have a wooden core) or sting (if they lack a solid core).

You can also explore sting sensations with paddles, but in this case, choose those made of silicone, or those with a more flexible core or without a core at all - e.g., paddles with a loop.

When choosing a paddle, it is also necessary to consider its size and shape. The smaller the paddle, the more localized the sensation upon impact, and the larger it is, the less intense the feeling, as the force of the swing is distributed over a larger skin area.
