Catsuits

A catsuit is a tightly fitting one-piece garment that covers the torso and legs, and sometimes the arms as well.

They are most commonly made from stretchy materials such as lycra, chiffon, spandex, and mesh. However, there are also more fetish-oriented catsuits made from leather, latex, PVC, vinyl, and similar materials. These catsuits, which are not extremely stretchy, often have zippers on the front or back of the torso, and less frequently on the sides.

History of the Catsuit

The catsuit began its journey into everyday fashion around the 1940s. It was worn by both men and women, and despite its name, it never had any feline characteristics
(and. cat = male cat; eng. suit = clothing).

Between the 1960s and 1990s, they were considered high fashion and often appeared on fashion runways, available only in prestigious clothing stores from renowned fashion designers.

In the seventies and eighties of the twentieth century, they also found their way into sports. Competitors in winter sports, gymnastics, and athletics often competed in sporty versions of the catsuit.

Today, catsuits are not very common in everyday fashion, but they still occasionally appear on stage, worn by pop stars and their dancers.

Using a Catsuit in the Bedroom

Many believe that every catsuit, regardless of its use or material, is a fetish garment.
