Do not forget about safety

When using handcuffs, whips, ropes, collars... improper use and carelessness can quickly cause injury to yourself or your partner. It is important to pay attention to the following:

• Handcuffs, collars, and ropes should not be too tight: there should be enough space for 2 fingers between them and the skin
• Before using whips, crops, and canes, practice their use on a couch, cushion, blanket, stuffed toy... and on yourself. This way, you can get a feel for where and how hard to hit.
• Do not whip your partner on the spine, kidney area, abdomen, neck, or head. For impact play (i.e., inflicting pain with blows) choose the buttocks and thighs instead.
• In case of using a gag, establish a different way of signaling the “safety word” with your partner, e.g., by blinking, tapping, or using a squeaky toy or bell
• Use equipment only for the activity it is intended for
• Products you receive in a set are not intended for more demanding binding, such as shibari (decorative tying originating from Japanese tradition) or suspension.
• Care for and maintain hygiene of the products. Although they are not used for penetration, wash them after each use with water and mild soap or with a toy cleaner.
• If you notice that any product is damaged, immediately stop using it.
