Shunga is a leader in the world of erotic cosmetics, with its natural ingredients combined with active components yielding excellent results. Entering the erotic world of Shunga is like a journey into the past. Literally translated, shunga means 'spring image', a delicate way of referring to 'sexual intercourse' between people. This term was used to describe Japanese erotic paintings from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, a type known as ukiyo-e, which were nothing but works on wood or parchment featuring sensual scenes and episodes of physical love, always crafted with great care and good taste. Though hidden for centuries, shunga art marked the beginning of the pornographic industry for the Japanese middle class and served as an education for sons and daughters of many families through generations.
