Tips for Better SexHow to Get a Bigger Penis?
Want a bigger penis? Most men wish for an extra centimeter or two. Learn how you can increase size in this article.
Do you wish you had a bigger penis? The answer is almost certainly yes. Most men would like their penis to be a centimeter or two bigger - even if they’re above average.
Big things grow from small beginnings
So what does the data say? The average penis when erect measures about 13 cm in length and has a 10 cm circumference. Interestingly, flaccid size isn’t important at all, because someone with a small penis can end up larger when erect than someone who looks bigger when flaccid. One may simply harden, while the smaller penis can grow in both length and girth.
The penis is composed of spongy tissue that’s responsible for increases in length and girth during erection, and the urethra, which carries both urine and semen.
Does penis size matter?
It’s a question every man asks. Many women claim size doesn’t matter and that technique and love - or chemistry - are more important. While both passion and technique contribute a lot to good sex, they’re not everything.
Interestingly, in completely anonymous surveys far more women answer “yes” to this question than in face-to-face interviews. From this we can conclude that size does matter to some extent and can affect your sex life. A small penis doesn’t necessarily mean bad sex, because size is quite subjective and the “right” size depends on the individual.
But don’t panic! Research suggests about 85% of women are satisfied with their partner’s size, while only around 55% of men are satisfied with their own. Chances are the issue exists mostly in the man’s mind.
Most women also say girth is more important than length. The vagina is a depth-limited organ anyway, so you can’t really use an overly long penis, while girth is what a woman feels most during sex.
Can a penis be too big?
Of course it can be too big - and that’s not unusual at all. The average vaginal depth is just over 11 cm. Since the average erect penis is 13 cm, nature has generally taken care of balance in most cases.
An oversized penis can mean several problems in sex, especially in certain positions that can even be impossible. Having an above-average penis isn’t necessarily an advantage. For anal sex, for example, it’s often easier if the penis is smaller.
Natural ways to increase size
Proven and tested in practice, the penis can be enlarged naturally with specific exercises. There are several techniques; it’s best for each person to try them and continue with the one that suits them best.
The penis consists of 3 chambers of spongy tissue that soak up blood. When these chambers fill with blood, an erection occurs. With long-term and correct exercising, these chambers can increase in size. Larger chambers can absorb more blood, which can lead to size increases. The goal of the exercises is to increase tensile strength by stretching the erectile tissue; that added tensile strength can enable growth.
Symptoms you may notice while doing penis-enlargement exercises
- Blisters on the penis, often caused by prolonged pressure on the tissue.
- Penile pain that can result from repeated stretching of the tissue.
- Swelling caused by long-term use of weights that are too heavy; this can affect the nerves in the penis and cause inflammation and swelling around it. If swelling persists, erection problems can occur.
- If any of the above symptoms appear, stop exercising for at least as long as it takes the issue to fully resolve.
Recommendations to follow when doing enlargement exercises
- Trim or shave pubic hair around the penis to avoid pulling.
- Eat a healthy, balanced diet rich in vitamins, minerals and protein, since nutrition affects the penis too. Also drink enough water daily.
- Stay in a good mood and relaxed - stress isn’t good for you or your penis.
- Keep the penis well lubricated; never use soap or shampoo, as they irritate the skin. For longer sessions, petroleum jelly for intensive care is most suitable, as it can stay on the skin longer without causing redness, cracks, etc.
- Measure your penis before you start exercising.
Measuring your penis
First, measure length during an erection. Stand and hold the penis perpendicular to your body. Place a ruler alongside it and measure from the base to the tip.
Then measure circumference during an erection. Use a tailor’s tape and measure around the middle of the shaft. If you don’t have a tape, you can use a string and then measure the string with a ruler.
Vitamins and minerals that can influence sexual performance
While doing enlargement exercises, it’s advisable to include certain vitamins, minerals and herbs in your diet - many are known to boost energy and sexual function.
Make sure you get enough vitaminsA, B12, C, E and D, magnesium and thiamine, calcium, potassium and folic acid.
You can find these vitamins and minerals in food or as tablets from a pharmacy.
Exercises for penis enlargement
Warm-up with a hot towel
As with any workout, a warm-up matters because it increases blood flow through the penis. It also makes the skin more flexible, which makes exercises easier and reduces the chance of bruising and abrasions.
One option is to soak a towel in hot or warm water and wrap it around the penis and scrotum. It might feel uncomfortable at first, but the warmth will soon feel pleasant. Leave the towel wrapped for two minutes and then repeat three more times.
Another way to warm up is soaking in a hot tub or bath. Gently massage the penis while soaking to increase blood flow. Don’t stay in the bath longer than 10 minutes.
Jelqing (milking) technique
With jelqing (the “milking” technique), you can add several centimeters in length and girth. It’s said to be especially effective if men start in early teens and continue into adulthood, then maintain it weekly.
How jelqing works
- Increases blood flow in the erectile chambers.
- Stretches the fibers so they’re larger and stronger when erect.
- Boosts overall blood flow in the penis and can increase its size.
You’ll start noticing changes after about 5 weeks, but don’t expect major progress in the first 6 months. Bigger changes may appear within a year, as the penis becomes larger and erections stronger.
Do the jelq daily for the fastest, most visible progress, following these steps:
- First, warm up with hot towels as described above.
- Form an O with your thumb and index finger at the base of the penis. This reduces blood outflow so more remains trapped inside.
- Move your hand toward the glans, “milking” the blood forward. The tissues will fill with more blood.
- When one hand reaches the top, repeat steps 2 and 3 with the other hand.
- Repeat for 20–25 minutes.
You may notice bruising or redness on the glans. It will disappear on its own. To avoid this, go slowly and gradually increase speed.
It’s most effective when the penis is semi-erect. If you can’t keep that state during training, do what helps restore it. You can pause briefly to let an erection subside, or watch pornography if it helps you maintain a semi-erection.
The goal is to push as much blood as possible into the glans to fill the tissues with more blood than usual. The penis will turn dark red during the exercise - this is normal.
How much pressure to use depends on the individual. On a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 means no pressure and 10 means unbearable, aim for 5–7.
For results, it doesn’t matter whether you do the exercise before or after sex.
Training plan
Week one: start with 250–300 repetitions a day, ideally combined with pelvic floor exercises (100–125 reps).
Week two: repeat for 10–15 minutes a day and add 200–225 pelvic floor reps. And don’t forget - exercises should be painless. If you feel pain, stop and consult a doctor.
Week three: continue for 30 minutes daily and add 300–325 pelvic floor reps.
Pelvic floor training
Pelvic floor muscles are responsible for ejaculation and erection, and they also control urination. You can feel them by stopping your urine midstream; you’ll feel the muscle contracting from the area of the scrotum toward the anus.
Benefits of pelvic floor exercises include:
- Lowering the chance of impotence.
- Controlling ejaculation and helping prevent premature or weak ejaculations.
- Stronger erections.
- Supporting prostate activity.
- Helping prevent later-life issues like urinary incontinence.
Exercise 1: Squeezes
First locate the muscle as described above. Next, contract and release it as many times as you can. Start with 40 reps daily, then increase to as many as you can until you reach 250–400 reps. The advantage is you can do this anytime, anywhere - at home, at work, on the go - and no one will notice.
Exercise 2: Squeeze and hold
Warm up, then do 10 contractions and relaxations as described. On the 10th contraction, hold it as long as you can. Ideally 25 minutes, then rest 1 minute. Aim to repeat this 5 times a day.
Exercise 3: Progressive contraction
This exercise is important for erection control, as a man can delay ejaculation by contracting the pelvic floor muscle. Gradually tighten the muscle until you reach maximum tension. Hold for 10 seconds and then gradually release.
Exercise 4: Fatigue the muscle
This one is tough and energy-demanding but also very effective. Start by sitting comfortably. Warm up the muscle with 30–50 strong contractions, then grip the penis tightly for 10 seconds and do 150 contractions. On the last contraction, hold the squeeze as long as you can, then rest for 3 minutes and do 40 strong squeezes.
Length-gaining stretch technique
- Start with a hot-towel warm-up. Do not perform this exercise when erect; do it when flaccid.
- Gently hold the glans with light pressure.
- Pull the penis out in front of you and stretch as far as you can. A feeling of pressure is normal; if you feel pain, stop and start again.
- Hold the stretched position for 15 seconds and repeat 5 times.
- When finished, massage the penis to restore circulation.
For best results, combine this with jelqing. Don’t lubricate for the stretch, as you need a firm grip.
Surgery
Surgery is also an option. There are essentially two types - procedures that increase length and those that increase girth. Neither is routine; results and side effects vary from patient to patient.
For girth enhancement, there are methods using implants - silicone, fat or other tissues - to increase circumference.
Lengthening surgeries usually cut the ligament that connects the penis to the pelvis. The penis doesn’t physically grow longer; rather, the portion normally hidden becomes visible. After surgery, you’ll need to use weights or other stretching aids for up to 6 months to prevent the ligament from reattaching.
Before deciding on surgery, consult a urologist. It’s strongly discouraged to travel abroad for supposedly faster or cheaper procedures, as that only increases the risk of complications.
Possible complications include infection, nerve damage, reduced sensitivity to stimulation, or even erectile issues.
Pills
Another option for enlargement is pills. Most over-the-counter pills are made from natural ingredients, so the risk of major side effects is low - making them worth trying.
Some of our customers are satisfied with how the pills work, others aren’t, so it’s best to try them yourself and see whether they help you.
Pumps
The pressure created by the vacuum increases blood flow through the penis and simultaneously stretches the tissue. If you exercise regularly, you’ll strengthen structures and may achieve size increases, which vary by individual. Some users report only an increase in girth, others also in length.
As with other devices that physically expand penile tissue, be careful when using a pump to avoid unwanted injuries.
Weights and extenders
Another way to increase size is by using devices that physically stretch the penis - so-called extenders and weights. Use caution with these devices to avoid injury - no one wants that.
Long-term use of these aids, like enlargement exercises, can increase the size of the spongy tissue and thus the size of the erect penis.
Penis extenders and sleeves
If none of the above methods suit you, or if you want to increase size only occasionally to spice things up, consider penis extenders and sleeves.
The main purpose of penis extenders is to lengthen the penis and often add girth as well. Extenders are typically hollow and go on like a condom. A penis extender is a quick, safe and simple solution if your partner wants a bigger feel. They come in various sizes, colors and materials; some even have extra textures or features to further increase stimulation during penetration.
Note that a penis extender is not a condom and does not prevent STIs or unwanted pregnancy!
Penis sleeves don’t add length, but they do increase girth - which is often even more important. Like extenders, many sleeves feature textures that additionally stimulate your partner. Another side effect of using a sleeve (and extenders) is that sensations on the penis are reduced, which can delay ejaculation.
How to make your penis look bigger
We view our penis from the top down, which isn’t the best angle for judging length. There are a few tricks to quickly and easily make it look bigger.
Shaving or at least trimming pubic hair will make the penis look longer and bigger. Your partner will likely appreciate it too - oral is nicer if they don’t get tangled in hair ;)
Another factor with even more visual impact is your weight. Excess weight - especially a big belly - affects how big the penis appears. If you lose weight, especially around the belly, your penis will look bigger. There’s even liposuction that removes fat under the belly around the penis - but it’s healthier to slim down!
Small penis syndrome
There’s a clinically recognized mental health condition called small penis syndrome. It’s a distorted perception of one’s body - in this case, the penis. Men with this syndrome are obsessed with the belief that their penis is too small, even if it’s of completely average or even above-average length and girth. Symptoms can be severe - depression, anxiety, isolation, etc. - but fortunately the condition is quite rare.
It’s usually triggered by traumatic experiences, such as being rejected due to a perceived small penis or other sexual difficulties.
Link between a small penis and premature ejaculation
A small penis isn’t more sensitive than a larger one, but there’s some correlation as many men with relatively small penises report problems with premature ejaculation. From a medical perspective this may be coincidence, but it’s likely a psychological effect.
Regardless of whether a partner cares about size, men with smaller penises often feel insecure - at least subconsciously. That uncertainty causes stress and physical tension, which promotes early climax and leads to even more stress the next time - a vicious circle that’s hard to break. This is also the main reason why enlargement can consequently help extend time to ejaculation.
